  My son has been at Bright Horizons Ranch Reserve in both the toddler and the two year olds room.
  The experience in the toddler room was really incredible. Teacher to child ratio was low and it was a very ordered and fun environment. My son loved to go.
  
  The facility is great. The indoor gym they have is amazing - and we will miss it when we leave.
  
  Unfortunately, my son's experience in the two year old room has been a mixed bag. I think the teacher is skilled and capable - I just think she is not being supported properly by the management.
  
  There is one particular child in the two year old room that has aggression issues - and it's a full time job just managing him to keep him from hurting the other kids. He shoves and hits and pushes a lot. He doesn't respond to redirection or correction.
  
  Frankly - several time a week my son is scared and intimidated when we drop him off at the two's room. I've brought it up to management -as several parents have - and they didn't do anything substantial to address the issue.
  
  I had asked the teacher about it and she suggested I complain to management in the hopes that this would get them to talk to the particular kid's parents about having him see a therapist or get some kind of treatment.
  
  So - I brought it up and the manager assured me they were assigning more staff to the room to help with the problem.
  
  I followed up with the two's room teacher afterwards. She hadn't heard anything about that from management. She was, in fact, getting additional staff for just a few hours on a couple of days a week - but that was it. And management had never specifically addressed her concerns or told her these occasional helpers were supposed to directly address that situation.
  
  I wasn't sure what to think about that. It really seemed that management didn't take this seriously enough to even trouble with having a conversation with the teacher.
  
  And - it's a few weeks later now - and nothing has really changed.
  
  The teacher still has to manage this problem child full time when he's in the class. She literally keeps him by her side every minute to keep him from acting out. There's not really a lot of extra support. Which means less time and attention for everyone else.
  
  And when things are busy - she sometimes can't keep a handle on him. Just today - I walked into class and saw him shoving my son. I wish I could say I haven't seen that exact scene in that room (not always towards my son - most of the smaller/younger kids in class are also targets) almost a dozen times in the last 3 months.
  
  We are changing to a different daycare as soon as possible.
  
  I wish I could recommend Bright Horizons as my son really loved his time in the toddler's room. Given his experience in the two's room - I cannot with a clear conscience.
